Booking Information

If you think you may be interested in a TWNY event.

Drop us an email via the 'Contact Us' button to the left of the page or follow this link info@twny.co.uk outlining the type event that you're interested in, the date you would like and any other information. We will contact you regarding availability.

What happens next?

Once we have agreed a date with you we will place a provisional booking in our diary. Once you have supplied us with all the necessary information we will send you an email outlining your proposed event. You then check the details and return the email with a short note of acceptance to confirm your booking.

Do we pay a deposit?

The simple answer is no. The only time we will ask for a non-refundable deposit is if another request is made for the same date as your booking. In this instance we will ask you to re-confirm your booking and send 25% deposit.

When do we pay for the event?

Once your event is completed we will send an invoice which should be settled within 14 days. Some clients especially our regulars like to pay in advance, this, of course, is also acceptable.

What happens if we postpone or cancel an event?

At TWNY we believe that no-one books any event with the intention of cancelling or postponing it so if the unforeseen happens and it is the only solution then that's fine. If you have not been asked to pay a deposit then there will be no charge. If, however, you have paid a deposit then that will be retained by us as compensation for turning down another booking.

How far in advance do we need to book?

If you have a specific date in mind then it pays to book as early as possible, if your dates are flexible then it's less important. Christmas parties are always a busy time for us and we regularly take bookings 18 months in advance. 2009 was no exception. Having said that, we did accept a booking for a December weekend seven days before the event so it's always worth giving us a call.

Finally, please remember, we are always happy to discuss your requirements.

Fun Casino Night

How long should a fun Casino Night Last?

We would normally recommend a two and a half to three hour deal time. All of our casino prices are based on three hours.

Do you use genuine casino equipment?

Yes, most of our casino equipment is the real thing, however, some tables are scaled down. We use genuine casino layouts for the classic casino games and for the games we design and build ourselves only top quality materials are used and specialists are used for such things as bumper rails.

What is a suitable venue for a Casino Night?

If you have a particular venue in mind then the safest option is to contact us for advice. If you don't have a venue in mind then our casino pages on this site list some options.

Can we play for real money?

Under no circumstances can real money be used. Casino Nights are provided for entertainment only and chips have no monetary value at any time. As no actual money is used, under 18's are welcome at our events.

Why are your table not self supporting?

When we upgraded our casino tables we made a concious decision to produce tables without legs and with flat undersides. In the past we had found that operatng in some smaller establishments we encountered problems where the room was filled with tables for other purposes and was an extra job for the management to remove them and in some cases just wasn't possible due to storage restrictions. We can now utilise most of what is available on site in these locations. For larger establishments such as hotels who have seperate function rooms it is no problem for them to provide tables to meet our needs.

Quiz Night

Anyone can write a quiz, why should we buy one of yours?

True, anyone can write a quiz but not everyone can write a successful quiz. We believe we have a balanced formula which will allow everyone to enjoy themselves. We aim for the winning team to score in the region of 80-85% but like everyone else to have answered plenty of questions. On too may occasions we have been to quizzes where the questions have relied on people having knowledge of an 'obscure' subject. Teams in our quizzes are more likely to do well if they have a broad general knowledge rather than relying on an expert in Astro Physics or someone who has memorised page six of last Thursday's Guernsey Press!

What is your 'Game Show' quiz all about?

Game Show is a general knowledge quiz but instead of all the questions taking a traditional quiz form we link each round to a popular TV game show such as 'Countdown' or 'Catchphrase'. Other rounds include 'The Price is Right' where teams have to decide the retail value of a selection of items and 'Family Fortunes' where teams have to match their answers to the responses given in a survey of 100 people.

Treasure Hunts

What is a themed treasure hunt?

We add a theme to spice up our Treasure Hunts and differentiate them from other 'run of the mill' events. Using a variety of themes and 'clue cards' gives our events a novel twist and also enables us to use locations that are not normally used.

Do you write a new treasure hunt for every event?

The simple answer is no. Treasure hunt writing is extremely labour intensive, because we like to concentrate on quality rather than quantity our Treasure Hunts take a great many hours to produce. We do however re-use themes such as the Cluedo Hunt and periodically update and replace the clues. If we update an event the event page will indicate this.
